Childrens Social Care
Putting Children and Families First in Dudley
Developing and investing in our children’s social care workforce is our priority.
In Dudley we recognise the importance of investing in our workforce and giving you the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills and our learning and development offer is an integral and crucial component of our transformation programme.
Our vision is to give children the best start in life and to support families to be independent, responsible and successful and to ensure we provide the highest levels of public protection for our most vulnerable children.
Dudley is an ambitious authority and a great place to develop your career. We put children at the heart of all we do and are looking for passionate, dedicated and determined social workers to join our team and help us deliver better outcomes for the children and families we serve.
With the introduction of new national assessment and accreditation systems, currently being developed for children’s social workers, it’s even more important we provide you with the right support to help you meet the increasing demands of the job and our aspirations for Dudley.
The people’s directorate, in which children’s services sits, is newly created and brings together approaches across social care, public health and education. Multi disciplinary teams deliver the wide range of initiatives to support families and provide early help.
This is a great opportunity for you to influence and shape the service as we accelerate the pace of change. We know what we need to do to improve as an authority, and that includes recruiting the best people.
Ultimately the question is, can you help secure a stronger and safer future for children and young people?
